Thank you for playing StageStar! Your privacy matters to us. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect,
use, store, and protect your information when you use StageStar, including offline gameplay, online
accounts, Online Feed, Online Charts, StageStar+ features, and AI-generated in-game content.
StageStar can be played offline without an online account. Online features, such as Online Feed, online
profiles, posting, following, sharing offline stats online, and Online Charts, require an account.

2. Information We Collect
We collect different information depending on whether you use StageStar offline or online.
a) Offline Gameplay Information
- Game progress, artist data, songs, albums, achievements, virtual currency, and game statistics
- User preferences, settings, themes, and feature choices
- In-game purchase entitlement status, where applicable
- Error logs, crash reports, and performance information
- The last cover art you used for songs, stored on your device so you can reuse it in-game
Most offline gameplay data is stored locally on your device and is not uploaded to our servers unless you
choose to use an online feature that shares specific information.
b) Account Information
If you create or sign in to an online account, we may collect and store:
- Your account identifier
- Your username, display name, profile information, and profile image if you add one
- Your email address or authentication information needed to create and protect your account
- Account creation date, login/session information, and security-related account records
Your login credentials are not visible to other players.
c) Online Feed and Social Features
StageStar includes online social features similar to a microblogging feed. If you use Online Feed, we may
collect and store:
- Text posts, replies, reposts, likes, follows, and other social interactions
- Images you choose to upload to Online Feed
- Your public username, display name, profile image, and online profile information
- Offline gameplay stats you choose to share online, such as artist stats, streams, albums, songs, awards,
chart results, and similar in-game achievements
Content you post to Online Feed may be visible to other players, depending on how the feature is designed and
your in-game settings.
d) Online Charts
StageStar may include Online Charts for songs, albums, artists, and other ranking systems. To operate these
features, we may store:
- Your public username and account identifier
- Song, album, and artist names you submit to Online Charts
- Associated chart data, such as streams, rank, peak, previous position, weeks/days on chart, and similar
performance statistics
- Cover images or other media you choose to attach to online chart content, if the feature allows it
e) Uploaded Images
If you upload images to StageStar, the way we handle them depends on the feature:
- Online Feed images: Images posted to Online Feed are stored in the cloud so they can be
displayed with your posts.
- Account/profile images: Images used for your online profile may be stored in the cloud
as part of your account.
- Sticker background removal: StageStar+ users may use a background removal feature for
Merchify Stickers. For this feature, the image is uploaded to our own server only for automated
processing. After the processed sticker is downloaded back to your device, the uploaded image and
processed result are deleted from the server.
Sticker background removal uploads are not publicly posted, not added to Online Feed, and are not intended to
be accessed by anyone manually while being processed.
f) AI-Generated Posts and Replies
StageStar includes AI-generated posts and replies. These AI features may be context aware, meaning the game
may send relevant in-game context or user-provided post content to generate NPC posts, replies, or similar
in-game text.
- AI generation is used to create in-game posts, NPC posts, replies, and social-style interactions.
- After replies or NPC posts are generated, the temporary generation data is deleted and is not stored by
StageStar as a long-term cloud record.
- User posts used for AI replies are processed only for generating the reply and are not manually accessed
by us as part of that process.
- AI-generated content may not always be accurate, realistic, or appropriate. You should report content
that appears harmful or violates our rules.
g) Device and Technical Information
- Device type and model
- Operating system and version
- App version
- Language and region settings
- IP address and approximate location, such as city/country level, where needed for security, analytics,
or online services
- Crash logs, diagnostics, and performance data
h) Analytics and Usage Data
We may use analytics tools to understand how StageStar is used, fix bugs, improve performance, and make
better gameplay decisions. This may include:
- How often the game is played
- Which features are used most
- How players move through screens and interact with the interface
- Bug reports, crash reports, and performance metrics
3. How We Use Your Information
- Provide offline gameplay and save your progress on your device
- Create, secure, and manage online accounts
- Operate Online Feed, profiles, posts, follows, replies, images, and online interactions
- Operate Online Charts for songs, albums, artists, and related rankings
- Allow you to share selected offline stats online
- Process StageStar+ sticker background removal requests
- Generate AI-powered in-game posts, NPC posts, and replies
- Restore purchases and provide purchased features
- Improve gameplay, balance, safety, performance, and user experience
- Respond to support requests, account deletion requests, and data requests
- Detect abuse, spam, cheating, harmful content, or violations of our Terms
- Comply with legal obligations and protect our rights
We do not sell your personal data. We do not use your data for targeted
advertising.
4. What Is Stored in the Cloud
StageStar is designed so most offline gameplay stays on your device. The main information stored in the
cloud is:
- Online account information
- Online Feed posts, replies, social interactions, and images you post online
- Online profile information and profile images
- Online Chart entries for songs, albums, artists, and related chart data
- Offline stats that you choose to share online
- Safety, moderation, support, security, and server logs needed to operate the online services
Sticker background removal images are uploaded only temporarily for processing and are deleted after the
processed image has been downloaded to your device.
5. User Content and Image Rights
You are responsible for the text, images, names, and other content you upload or post in StageStar. Please
only upload content you own, have permission to use, or are legally allowed to share.
NPC cover images and similar in-game visual assets are designed to be royalty-free or generated/selected for
use in the game and are not intended to represent real copyrighted album covers, brands, artists, or
licensed third-party artwork.
6. In-App Purchases and StageStar+
StageStar may offer optional in-app purchases, including StageStar+. Purchases are processed through your
app store, such as Apple App Store or Google Play. We do not store your full payment card details. We may
receive purchase confirmation and entitlement information so we can unlock the correct in-game features.
7. Sharing Your Information
We may share limited information only when needed to operate StageStar:
- Authentication providers: to let you create or sign in to your account, where
applicable
- App stores: to process purchases and restore entitlements
- Analytics, crash, and platform providers: to understand usage, fix bugs, and improve
performance
- AI processing providers or our own AI systems: to generate in-game AI posts, NPC posts,
and replies
- Our own servers: to operate Online Feed, Online Charts, account features, and temporary
sticker background removal
- Legal authorities: if required by law or needed to protect our legal rights, players,
or services
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data.
8. Data Storage and Retention
- Offline gameplay data: stored mainly on your device until you delete the app, clear the
save, or use an in-game delete/reset option.
- Online account data: stored while your account is active and deleted or anonymized
after account deletion, unless we must keep limited records for legal, security, or dispute reasons.
- Online Feed posts and images: stored while they remain posted or while your account is
active, unless deleted by you, removed by moderation, or deleted as part of account deletion.
- Online Chart data: stored to operate chart rankings and history. Some chart records may
remain in anonymized or aggregated form after account deletion.
- Sticker background removal uploads: deleted from our server after the processed sticker
has been downloaded to your device.
- AI generation data: temporary generation inputs/outputs are deleted after the relevant
NPC posts or replies are generated, except for any final posts that are intentionally saved in the game
or posted online by you.
- Security and server logs: retained only as long as needed for security, abuse
prevention, debugging, legal compliance, or service operation.
9. Account Deletion and Data Requests
You can delete your account or request a copy of your personal data. You may be able to do this directly in
the app, or by contacting us at email@stagestargame.com.
- Delete account: We will delete or anonymize your online account information, Online Feed
posts and images, profile data, and other personal data connected to your account, unless we are
required or allowed to keep limited information for legal, safety, fraud prevention, or dispute reasons.
- Request data: You can request a copy of the personal data linked to your account in a
commonly used format where technically possible.
- Correct data: You can ask us to correct inaccurate account information.
- Withdraw consent: Where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it at any time.
We may need to verify that you own the account before completing deletion or data export requests.
10. GDPR and Your Privacy Rights
If you are in the European Union, European Economic Area, United Kingdom, or another region with similar
privacy laws, you may have rights including:
- The right to be informed about how your data is used
- The right to access your personal data
- The right to correct inaccurate data
- The right to request deletion of your personal data
- The right to restrict or object to certain processing
- The right to data portability, where applicable
- The right to withdraw consent, where processing is based on consent
- The right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority

11. Legal Bases for Processing
Where GDPR or similar laws apply, we process personal data based on one or more of the following legal bases:
- Contract: to provide the game, accounts, purchases, Online Feed, Online Charts, and
other requested features.
- Consent: where you choose to upload images, post online, share offline stats online, use
AI-powered features, or enable optional features that require consent.
- Legitimate interests: to improve the game, prevent abuse, secure our services, debug
issues, and understand general usage.
- Legal obligation: where we must process or retain information to comply with law.
12. Data Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including secure servers,
access controls, and other safeguards. However, no online service is completely secure, and we cannot
guarantee absolute protection.
13. Public Content and Safety
Online Feed is a public or semi-public social feature. Do not post private information, sensitive personal
data, or content you do not want other players to see. We may remove content, restrict accounts, or take
action if content violates our Terms, creates safety risks, or is required to be removed by law.
14. Children’s Privacy
StageStar is intended for players aged 13 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from
children under 13. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under 13, we will

15. International Users
Your information may be processed and stored in countries where we or our service providers operate. If data
is transferred internationally, we take steps required by applicable law to protect it.
16. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in StageStar, our practices, or legal requirements. If
we make significant changes, we may notify you in the game, through our website, or by email where available.
