Welcome to StageStar! These Terms of Service (“Terms”) explain the rules you agree to when you download, install, access, or play StageStar. Please read them carefully.

By using StageStar, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the game.

1. Who We Are

StageStar is developed and operated by Edmond Szabo (“we,” “us,” or “our”). You can reach us at:

2. Using StageStar

We provide you with a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, limited license to use StageStar for entertainment purposes, subject to these Terms and any applicable app store rules.

You agree to:

• Play fairly and respect other players.
• Follow any rules, community guidelines, or safety notices shown in the game.
• Use StageStar only for lawful, personal, non-commercial purposes.
• Not interfere with the game, online services, servers, accounts, or other players.

3. Offline Gameplay and Online Features

StageStar can be played offline without creating an online account. Some features require an online account, including Online Feed, online profiles, posting, following, sharing offline stats online, and Online Charts.

Online features may be changed, limited, suspended, or removed at any time for technical, safety, legal, or gameplay reasons.

4. Accounts and Access

• You may need an account to use online features.
• You must provide accurate account information and keep your account secure.
• You are responsible for activity that happens through your account.
• You may delete your account or request your data as described in our Privacy Policy.
• We may suspend, restrict, or delete accounts that violate these Terms, harm other players, abuse the service, or create legal or safety risks.

5. Online Feed, Posts, and Social Features

StageStar includes online social features where players may post text, images, replies, profile content, and selected offline gameplay stats.

You agree not to post or upload content that:

• Is illegal, harmful, threatening, hateful, abusive, harassing, or discriminatory
• Contains nudity, sexual content involving minors, extreme violence, or other unsafe content
• Violates someone’s privacy or reveals personal information without permission
• Infringes copyright, trademark, publicity rights, or other intellectual property rights
• Contains malware, scams, spam, phishing, or deceptive content
• Impersonates another person, brand, artist, or official account in a misleading way
• Encourages cheating, hacking, fraud, or abuse of StageStar

We may remove posts, images, profiles, chart entries, or other content if we believe they violate these Terms or are required to be removed by law.

6. Your Content

You keep ownership of content you create or upload, such as posts, images, profile content, and shared stats. By posting or uploading content to StageStar, you give us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, display, reproduce, process, moderate, and distribute that content only as needed to operate, promote, protect, and improve StageStar and its online features.

You confirm that you own or have the necessary rights to any content you upload. You are responsible for your content and for any consequences of posting it.

7. Online Charts

StageStar may include Online Charts for songs, albums, artists, and other rankings. By submitting or sharing chart-related content, you allow us to display your public username, selected stats, song names, album names, artist names, cover images, ranks, peaks, and related chart data.

We may remove, adjust, reset, or disqualify chart entries if we detect cheating, abuse, technical errors, inappropriate content, or rule violations.

8. AI-Generated Content

StageStar may include AI-generated posts, NPC posts, replies, and other context-aware in-game text. AI content is generated for entertainment and may be fictional, inaccurate, unexpected, or inappropriate.

You agree that:

• AI-generated content does not represent real advice, real endorsements, or real statements by real people unless clearly stated.
• You should not rely on AI-generated content as factual information.
• You should report AI content that appears harmful, unsafe, or against these Terms.
• We may update, limit, filter, or remove AI features at any time.

9. Images, Stickers, and Background Removal

StageStar+ users may access a background removal feature for Merchify Stickers. You must only upload images that you own, have permission to use, or are legally allowed to process.

Sticker background removal is provided as an automated feature. Uploaded sticker images are processed on our own server and deleted after the processed image is downloaded back to your device, as described in our Privacy Policy.

10. Intellectual Property

StageStar, including its code, design, game systems, names, logos, user interface, original artwork, text, and other content, belongs to us or our licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws.

NPC cover images and similar in-game assets are intended to be royalty-free or generated/selected for use in the game. They are not intended to copy real album covers, brands, artists, or licensed third-party artwork.

You may not copy, redistribute, sell, reverse engineer, modify, or exploit StageStar or its content except as allowed by these Terms or applicable law.

11. In-App Purchases and StageStar+

• StageStar may offer optional in-app purchases, subscriptions, or premium features such as StageStar+.
• Purchases are handled by the app store or payment provider you use.
• Refunds are handled according to the rules of the relevant app store and applicable law.
• We may update, rebalance, rename, replace, or remove premium features where needed, but we will try to avoid unfairly taking away purchased access without reason.

12. Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to:

• Cheat, hack, exploit bugs, automate gameplay, or manipulate online charts
• Use unauthorized tools, bots, scripts, or modified clients
• Attempt to access other players’ accounts or private data
• Attack, overload, scrape, reverse engineer, or disrupt our servers or services
• Upload illegal, harmful, infringing, or abusive content
• Use StageStar for commercial purposes without our permission
• Break applicable laws or app store rules

13. Moderation and Enforcement

We may moderate online content and accounts to protect StageStar and its players. We may remove content, hide posts, restrict features, reset chart entries, suspend accounts, ban users, or take other action if we believe these Terms have been violated.

We are not required to monitor every post or interaction, and we cannot guarantee that all harmful content will be removed immediately.

14. Updates and Changes

We may update StageStar at any time, including adding, changing, limiting, or removing features, online services, virtual items, content, AI systems, charts, or premium features. We may also update these Terms. If we make major changes, we may notify you in the game, on our website, or by email where available.

15. Termination

You can stop using StageStar at any time by uninstalling the app or deleting your account where available. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms, create risks for other players, or if we discontinue the game or online services.

16. Disclaimers and Limitations

• StageStar is provided “as is” and “as available.”
• We do not guarantee that the game, AI features, Online Feed, Online Charts, or online services will always be available, error-free, accurate, or uninterrupted.
• We are not responsible for user-generated content posted by players.
• To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages caused by your use of StageStar.

17. Privacy

Your use of StageStar is also covered by our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, store, and delete data, including account data, Online Feed posts, uploaded images, online stats, Online Charts, sticker background removal uploads, and AI generation data.

18. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Hungary, except where your local consumer protection laws require a different rule. Any disputes will be handled in the courts of Hungary unless applicable law gives you the right to bring claims in your usual place of residence.
